A note from me

For social media, the resolution matters less than the aspect ratio. Instagram will accept a 500×500 square photo and a 2000×2000 square photo — but a 1920×1080 landscape image won't fit a square post. Pick the aspect ratio first, then size up or down. For images that will be displayed on high-DPI screens (Retina), resize to at least 2x the display size.
