Tracking loans to friends
Before
Lent money to 4 friends over a year, lost track
After
Every loan logged, every repayment marked
Ended up recovering $340 I'd forgotten about. Worth the 30 seconds of logging.
I built this after losing track of who owed me what across friends and family. Not awkward to ask when you have a clean record — and not awkward when you realize you owe someone and forgot. Log transactions, see balances, mark as settled. Everything stays on your device.

The habit that made this work: log the loan on the same day. Waiting even a week, you forget the exact amount or the reason. Also, for family loans, note the reason — 'lent for rent' vs 'lent for groceries' — that context makes a difference at tax time if it's a substantial amount. For small loans between friends, don't over-formalize. A quick log is enough.
