Writing a blog post
Before
Spent 3 hours, kept getting distracted
After
Completed the draft in 4 Pomodoro cycles (2 hours)
The forced breaks kept me fresh. Final draft was better quality than the marathon session.
I built this because I kept 'just five more minutes'-ing my way through 3-hour unproductive stretches. The Pomodoro method forces a real break every 25 minutes. This timer runs the cycles automatically — focus, break, repeat — so I don't have to think about it.

The 25/5 split works for writing and reading, but for coding, I found 50/10 works better — 25 minutes is too short to get into a complex problem. The classic 25/5 is worth starting with, then adjust once you know your rhythm. Also: during the break, actually stand up and walk away from the screen. Checking Twitter isn't a break — it's just a different kind of focus.

Yes. The default is 25/5, but you can adjust both to fit your work style.
If the interruption is under 2 minutes, deal with it and continue. If longer, reset the cycle. The Pomodoro method is strict about this.
