Mocking up a blog layout
Before
Empty layout, hard to judge how it would look with content
After
5 paragraphs of varied length
Revealed that my headings needed more spacing. Wouldn't have noticed with an empty layout.
I built this because the Lorem Ipsum site I used kept autoplaying a video and pushing me toward a subscription. This one is just text — pick your count, generate, copy. Nothing else.

One tip for realistic mockups: don't just fill the space — vary the paragraph lengths. Real content has short and long paragraphs, headlines, and lists. If every paragraph is the same length, your mockup will look artificial and won't reveal layout issues that only show up with uneven content. Generate a mix and edit as needed.

Real text is distracting — clients and reviewers start reading instead of judging layout. Lorem Ipsum is recognizable as placeholder, so the focus stays on design.
No. It's based on scrambled Latin from Cicero, but it's not meant to be read. It's designed to look like natural text without being meaningful.
